Job summary

Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Beech Island, SC is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to provide process engineering support for tissue machines, drive OEE improvements, and lead problem-solving efforts. You will optimize manufacturing processes and mentor cross-functional teams in safety, quality, and cost reduction.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, 3+ years of engineering experience, and the ability to travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Science from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years experience in an engineering role.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams to achieve results.
• Self-motivation to achieve results with minimal direction and follow-up.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including daily attendance and planning.
• Good written and verbal communication with Operators, peer Engineers, and Leadership.
• Experience using manufacturing analysis tools such as SPC, DOE, PCS, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing.
• Ability and schedule flexibility to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment; travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for tissue machine assets (CTEC) in Beech Island.
• Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by increasing speed, reducing waste, and minimizing delays.
• Lead structured problem solving and root-cause analysis of process issues.
• Optimize tissue manufacturing processes using centerlines, digital metrics, and dashboards.
• Lead and support product and process trials for quality, performance, cost reduction, and implementation.
• Lead continuous improvement planning, TIP cycles, annual planning, and asset-metrics development.
• Support capital and major maintenance projects from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Process, and Capital teams.
