Job summary

Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Beech Island, SC, seeks a Lead Process Engineer to optimize tissue manufacturing operations at the CTEC tissue machines, focusing on safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost performance.

You will lead problem solving, apply Six Sigma and lean methods, and utilize manufacturing analytics (SPC, DOE) to improve OEE and reduce waste while collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Capital Projects teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Science or related disciplines.
• 3+ years in an engineering role with cross-functional teamwork experience.
• Experience with manufacturing analysis tools: SPC, DOE, process capability studies, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% and to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for Beech Island CTEC Tissue Machine assets affecting safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost.
• Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by increasing speed, reducing waste, and minimizing delays.
• Lead structured problem solving and root-cause analysis for technical and manufacturing issues.
• Optimize tissue manufacturing processes using best practices, centerlines, digital metrics, and dashboards.
• Lead and support product and process trials focused on quality, performance, and cost reduction.
