Job summary

Lam Research in Oregon seeks a senior Process Engineer to advance cutting-edge semiconductor processing technologies. You will lead R&D in process formulations, specify equipment hardware, and evaluate data to drive scalable manufacturing solutions.

Expect to collaborate across internal teams and with customers to tailor processing methods, improve yields, and enable adoption of new tech at customer sites. A Master’s or PhD with extensive experience is required.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree or PhD with years of experience in semiconductor processing.
• Experience with SPC/DOE and statistical analysis is preferred.
• Proficiency with MATLAB or Python for data analysis is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process engineering R&D for Lam’s semiconductor equipment and systems.
• Review and improve processing techniques used in manufacturing and fabrication.
• Develop and sustain new processes and improvements to reduce costs and boost yields.
• Analyze test data to define next steps in process development and establish specs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and report customer demos.
• Partner with customers to understand roadmaps, process flow, and business challenges.
• Contribute to next generation product development and release activities supporting the semiconductor roadmap.
• Provide leadership and guidance to process technicians to support execution.
• Assist customer sites in adopting new technologies and processes.
