Job summary
Flint Hills Resources, at the Toledo, OR site, seeks a Senior Process Engineer to drive safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of a Kraft linerboard facility. You will lead process optimization, quality improvements, and waste reduction across mill systems while collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Quality, Environmental, and Capital Projects teams.
The role requires strong data analysis, problem solving, and the ability to mentor engineers and operators.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to use data to solve complex operational problems.
- Experience leading trials, process changes and cross-functional improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, quality and process control requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead process improvement efforts to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Analyze data to identify trends, losses, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Plan, execute, and document trials to improve fiber utilization, energy efficiency, and quality.
- Mentor engineers and operators on process fundamentals and best practices.
