Job summary

Bio-Techne Minneapolis site is the company’s largest reagent manufacturing center, producing reagents and assays for life sciences. The Senior Process Engineer – Reagent Manufacturing strengthens technical capability by resolving gaps and improving process robustness, bioburden control, and manufacturability across multiple unit operations.

The role leads technical assessments, defines requirements, and partners with R&D, QC, and manufacturing to ensure readiness and sustainable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; chemical or biochemical engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of process-engineering experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical manufacturing; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with liquid-processing unit operations: mixing, formulation, filtration, liquid handling/transfer.
• Experience with qualification, troubleshooting, and working within quality systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process-engineering support for prioritized gaps in current manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate process capability by assessing materials, equipment, scale, parameters, and variation sources.
• Improve robustness, repeatability, quality, and manufacturability of processes.
• Serve as SME for reagent preparation, liquid handling, mixing, formulation, and filtration.
• Support manufacturing readiness when products or processes change; collaborate with area experts.
