Job summary

Bio-Techne Minneapolis site, the company’s largest Reagent Operations Capability Center, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Productivity to lead hands-on productivity improvements across upstream and downstream processes, filling, packaging, and shipping.

You’ll apply Lean, data-driven problem solving, and standard work to improve throughput, labor efficiency, cycle time, and OEE while safeguarding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience driving manufacturing productivity improvement.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods.
• Hands-on time studies, standard labor, and line balancing experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.
• Biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Observe work on the plant floor to identify waste, bottlenecks, and imbalance.
• Prioritize productivity opportunities with data, observations, and site leadership.
• Conduct time studies and line balancing to map current performance.
• Lead high-impact process improvements to boost throughput and reduce scrap.
• Drive Lean tools like Kaizen, 5S, and standard work to sustain gains.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to optimize processes.
• Coach teams in standard work and daily management.
