Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to advance PMU design across Plymouth, MN projects. You will contribute as an individual designer and oversee other engineers on design tasks.

You will use extensive PMU experience, rigorous documentation, and collaboration with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant systems. Expect regional travel and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of PMU design experience.
• Experience producing technical documents such as memos, mass & energy balances, P&ID/ piping & instrumentation diagrams, and equipment specs.
• Knowledge of NFPA and ASME design codes.
• Experience with front-end loading (FEL) or similar stage-gate approaches.
• Experience in oilseed processing, food plants, or RNG is a plus.
• Projects exceeding $50 million installed cost is a plus.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication, analytical and planning skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally and on short overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of technical proposals.
• Design process and related PMU systems as an individual contributor and oversee a project team.
• Develop and maintain hourly budgets for PMU related project work.
• Contribute to development and updating of schedule for PMU related project work.
• Work with clients and team members including other disciplines and project manager to execute projects.
• Ensure quality assurance of PMU related work and other project procedures are followed.
• Mentor more junior team members to impart engineering knowledge and problem-solving approaches.
