Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer for our plastics manufacturing environment in McDonough, GA. The role emphasizes process optimization, equipment troubleshooting, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to boost production efficiency and cost performance.

The ideal candidate has strong plastics manufacturing experience (extrusion/injection molding) with thermoforming as a plus, and will split time between production floor support and engineering projects.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years manufacturing or process engineering experience.
Experience in plastics manufacturing, packaging, extrusion, and/or injection molding.
Thermoforming experience desirable.
Hands-on troubleshooting in a production environment.
Experience with SPC, DOE, or FMEA is a plus.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and engineering software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for manufacturing equipment and processes.
Identify root causes of production issues and implement corrective actions.
Optimize process parameters, cycle times, equipment performance, and material utilization.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, scrap, and costs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance.
Support new product launches, tooling modifications, and process development.
Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
