Process Engineer

North of Atlanta, GA

Salary: $80-110 K + bonus

MUST have knowledge of profile or sheet extrusion.

Our client is seeking an experienced process engineer with a background in profile or sheet extrusion. This person will be a key part of a manufacturing and engineering operations. They will work closely with process improvements, product and equipment improvements, tooling and design, as well as work cross‑functionally with maintenance. Position Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes for profile and sheet production to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
• Develop and implement process improvements, including equipment upgrades, automation, and workflow enhancements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and defects.
• Work cross‑functionally to train maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to ensure process reliability and compliance with industry standards.
• Design and execute experiments to test process modifications and validate improvements using data‑driven approaches.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on process performance and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all process designs and operations.
• Support the integration of new materials, technologies, or products into existing manufacturing processes.
• Train production staff on new processes and equipment to ensure consistent application and adherence to standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years experience profile or sheet extrusion
• 4+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with Minitab, SolidWorks, and/or AutoCAD preferred.
• Competed degree in Engineering.
