Job summary

MSD in Rahway, NJ is seeking an Associate Specialist for MACS Process/Facility Engineering to join the MACS Operations Team. The role focuses on supporting a new potent, multi-modality Drug Substance development and GMP clinical manufacturing plant with readiness target in 2Q 2027.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process R&D, Analytical, Quality, and Safety, contributing to setup, qualification, and ongoing operations in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related scientific field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a process team member supporting MACS Center.
• Collaborate with MACS Operations, Enabling Facilities, SSO, Prep Lab, Process R&D, QA, and Safety.
• Help set up the Rahway facility with a 2Q 2027 readiness target.
• Support Small Scale Organics Pilot Plant and Prep Lab activities.
• Prepare SOPs and cGMP documents.
