Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Process Engineer to support API and natural products projects through late-stage development to manufacturing. You will assess unit operations for process robustness, scale-up risks, and collaborate with technical, quality, and regulatory teams.

Responsibilities include applying chemical engineering principles, designing experiments, and mentoring other engineers to deliver robust processes from lab to plant.

Qualifications

• Thorough theoretical and practical understanding of the chemical engineering discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Industrial experience in chemical/process development or related field.

Responsibilities

• Apply core chemical engineering principles in experimental design and data analysis.
• Demonstrate scientific initiative and creativity in research or development activities.
• Maintain autonomous performance in lab, pilot plant, or manufacturing support spaces.
• Formulate conclusions and design follow-on experiments from multidisciplinary data.
• Identify impactful investigation areas for development or commercial programs.
• Author publications, technical reports, regulatory documents, and patents.
• Mentor other engineers on project teams.
