Job summary

Assurant seeks a Senior Process Engineer to drive operational excellence in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing facility in Mt. Juliet, TN. You will lead cross-functional projects, standardize processes, and mentor Process Engineers and Operations teams.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Automation, and Supply Chain to improve capability and performance, supporting business objectives and product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical engineering.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience leading large cross-functional manufacturing projects.
• Strong project management with budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
• Experience with highly automated manufacturing systems.
• Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Experience using AutoCAD for manufacturing layouts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for production operations.
• Develop, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes.
• Design and maintain work instructions, process docs, and SOPs.
• Establish best practices for process reliability and cost.
• Support new product introductions, equipment launches, and transfers.
• Lead cross-functional capital and operational improvement projects.
• Develop dashboards and tracking systems for milestones and financial targets.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Automation, Supply Chain.
