Job summary

Assurant's Mt. Juliet, TN facility is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead high-volume, automated manufacturing initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and mentor engineers. You will partner across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Automation, Supply Chain and customers to elevate safety, quality and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience leading large cross-functional manufacturing projects.
• Strong PM skills with budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies experience.
• Experience with highly automated manufacturing systems.
• Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
• Experience using AutoCAD for manufacturing layouts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for production operations and process optimization.
• Develop, optimize, and standardize processes to improve safety, quality and cost.
• Create work instructions, process docs, and SOPs.
• Lead cross-functional capital and operational improvement projects.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
• Make dashboards and reports to track milestones and financial targets.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and value-stream initiatives.
• Identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve equipment utilization.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement CAPAs.
• Analyze KPIs and develop dashboards using Excel/Power BI.
• Collaborate with multiple functions to achieve objectives and support NPI.
