Job summary

Ascend Performance Materials in Tennessee seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a dedicated unit. You will drive production improvements, optimize raw material use, energy consumption, and product quality while ensuring equipment reliability.

You will lead process troubleshooting, support continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Engineering to implement capital projects and new technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering required.
At least 3 years in chemical manufacturing or continuous process environment.
Experience leading PHA, MOC, and RCA activities.
Experience coordinating cross-functional projects with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Engineering.
Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Champion safety culture and lead or participate in PHAs, LOPAs and FMEA activities.
Lead MOC processes to ensure safe process modifications.
Facilitate RCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
Quantify safety and environmental risks and develop mitigations.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and PSM requirements.
Monitor and improve production performance, quality, energy use, and unit reliability.
Coordinate outages and maintenance with Operations, Maintenance and Reliability.
Support capital projects and implementation of new technologies.
