Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in process engineering in mining/minerals
• Experience in comminution, flotation, leaching, and refining
• Proficient with process simulation and modeling techniques
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration is desirable or advantageous

Responsibilities

• Optimize chemical and physical processes for mineral extraction and concentration
• Design and implement process improvements to enhance recovery and product quality
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot plant trials for new processing techniques
• Troubleshoot operational issues and develop effective solutions for plant challenges
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards (e.g., HAZOP)
• Prepare process documentation including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and operating manuals
• Collaborate with geologists, metallurgists, operations, and maintenance teams
• Manage small to medium-sized process engineering projects
• Monitor process performance using key metrics and implement data-driven improvements
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in mineral processing
