Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced process engineer to develop and qualify new semiconductor process technologies. You will collaborate across departments to transfer technologies, run experiments, and ramp production, with emphasis on reducing defects and delivering scalable, high-volume manufacturing solutions.

Regular updates to engineering leadership are expected. Ideal candidates have a strong background in CVD and metals deposition, solid data analysis skills, and

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science with 10+ years in semiconductor process development.
• Proven track record in continuous improvement and innovation in the field.
• Strong understanding of FEOL/BEOL metals processes and integration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across process integration and NPI/NTI to develop deposition solutions.
• Serve as liaison between UP and NTI/NPI owners to enable technology transfer and ramp.
• Drive improvements in process uniformity and defect reduction for scalable production.
• Design experiments to evaluate process margins and robustness.
• Interface with engineers to standardize process and equipment solutions.
• Report findings to engineering leadership and present in cross-functional forums.
