Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Metals team, collaborating with peers to maintain key process parameters and drive solutions.

You will monitor equipment, respond to fab events, generate reports, drive continuous improvement, update SOPs, and interface daily with engineers and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree and at least 4 years in semiconductor processing; AMAT ENDURA and PVD experience is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science and Engineering, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience; Semiconductor Process, process integration.
• Prior experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of AMAT ENDURA and PVD chambers preferred.
• Take ownership of challenging problems and drive analysis to resolution.
• Participate in task forces addressing KPI for yield, defect, OEE, and scrap reduction.
• Identify KPI gaps and develop projects with schedules to close them.
• Produce high-quality results and professional reports.
• Demonstrate an optimized state of process and equipment.
