Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a CVD Process Engineer to drive high-volume manufacturing excellence, troubleshoot process issues with Equipment Engineers and Technicians, and implement improvements that reduce defects and increase throughput.

The role includes rapid containment of critical fab quality events, root-cause analysis with 8D reports, technical leadership, and supporting technology node transfers; base pay ranges $106k–$145k plus full benefits.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering or related science field.
• 4+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot process issues for a 24/7 high-volume site.
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to improve defect reduction, process control and throughput.
• Contain critical fab events quickly and generate 8D reports with root-cause and corrective actions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and technicians to spread knowledge.
• Support technology node transfers and qualification of new processes or equipment.
• Communicate priorities and ensure productive, team-oriented collaboration.
