Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a CVD Process Engineer to support high-volume manufacturing. The role partners with Equipment Engineers and Process Technicians to troubleshoot anomalies, run experiments, and implement improvements that increase throughput and reduce defects.

Qualifications

• BS/MS Engineering in a science-related field is required.
• 3+ years experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing, preferably in high-volume environments.
• Work days and hours: 1st Shift – Monday-Friday 8-5PM.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot process issues for a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing site with the team.
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to drive defect reduction, process control, and throughput improvements.
• Respond to critical fab events with containment and generate 8D reports detailing root cause and corrective actions.
• Provide technical leadership, training, and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.

Education

BS/MS Engineering - Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or other science degree
