Job summary

Assurant, Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive operational excellence in a high-volume, highly automated Mt. Juliet, TN facility.

You will lead cross-functional projects from concept to implementation, standardize processes, and mentor engineers and operations teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The role requires Lean/Six Sigma expertise, strong analytics, and a collaborative leadership style to partner with multiple departments including Operations,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in high-volume environments.
Experience leading large cross-functional manufacturing projects.
Strong project management with budgets, schedules, and resources.
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies experience.
Experience with highly automated manufacturing systems.
Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Experience using AutoCAD for manufacturing layouts.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for production operations and engineering support.
Develop, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes for safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Create and maintain work instructions, process docs, and SOPs.
Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping initiatives to reduce cost and waste.
Manage cross-functional capital and operational improvement projects with timelines and budgets.
Develop dashboards and reports using Excel or Power BI to track KPIs (OEE, FPY, throughput).
Mentor Process Engineers and coaching production teams on Lean principles.
Support NPI and product launches and equipment startups.
