Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer to drive development of deposition processes and related technologies for cutting-edge semiconductor equipment. You will define processing methods, optimize yields, and lead data-driven improvements across teams.

The role requires advanced degrees in materials science or related fields and hands-on experience with analytical techniques, DOE/ SPC, and MATLAB/Python. Hybrid/work-from-home flexibility is available for suitable roles.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics or related field with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years’ experience.
Familiarity with laboratory work and semiconductor equipment, surface preparation and analytical techniques.
Strong understanding of SPC and DOE; experience with statistical analysis and problem solving.
Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for scientific computing.

Responsibilities

Conduct process engineering R&D and evaluation for semiconductor equipment and systems.
Review and enhance processing techniques used in fabrication.
Develop and sustain new processes to reduce costs and increase yields.
Analyze test data and define process specifications and limits.
Collaborate cross-functionally to plan, collect data, and report results for customer demos.
