Job summary

E Ink Corporation in Fremont, CA is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer to lead the Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) process development.

You will own small-scale equipment, hot-press and lamination operations, and the CCL lab, driving repeatable, automated workflows and process improvements. The role requires hands-on experience with hot-press, lamination, DOE, and data automation, with a strong emphasis on safety, yield, and transfer to larger scale operations.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in relevant engineering or chemistry field (7+ years preferred).
• Hands-on experience with hot-press/lamination processes and lab-scale equipment.
• Ability to write equipment specs and manage vendor selections.
• Experience operating a research lab, with EHS, SOPs, and training.
• Knowledge of DOE, statistics, and structured experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Source and commission small-scale equipment for CCL process development.
• Set up and manage the CCL lab, including SOPs and safety controls.
• Develop end-to-end CCL process from materials to finished samples.
• Translate material concepts into repeatable, scalable workflows.
• Own DOE studies to optimize process parameters and reliability.
• Provide guidance and document results for cross-functional teams.
