Job summary

E Ink is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer in Fremont, CA to lead the development and operation of the Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) process. You will own hot-press and lamination operations, oversee the CCL lab, and drive automated, repeatable workflows from materials to finished samples.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with hot-press, lamination, and process integration, plus DOE and data collection to improve yield, reliability, and scale-up readiness.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in chemical, mechanical, materials, or polymer engineering, chemistry, or related field.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant industrial process-development experience.
• Hands-on experience with hot-press, lamination, or related processes.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and commission small-scale equipment for CCL development.
• Modify and integrate equipment including fixtures, controls, and safety interlocks.
• Set up and manage the CCL process laboratory and SOPs.
• Develop end-to-end CCL process from materials to samples with automation.
• Translate material concepts into repeatable, scalable processing workflows.
• Design DOE to study effects on uniformity, defects, and reliability.
• Develop process monitoring and data-collection methods for repeatability.
