Job summary

E Ink seeks a Sr. Process Engineer to lead the development and operation of Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) processes. You will own hot-press and lamination operations, set up the CCL lab, and drive end-to-end process development from materials to samples, collaborating with scientists and engineers.

You will translate concepts into repeatable processes, design DOE studies, and optimize tooling, temperature-pressure-time profiles, and quality controls while ensuring safety and scalability.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or Polymer Engineering; typically 7+ years in industrial process-development or equipment-engineering.
• Hands-on experience with hot-press, compression-molding, or lamination processes in lab or pilot scale.
• Ability to write equipment specifications, source vendors, and modify equipment for new applications.
• Experience setting up and running a research or process laboratory with EHS, SOPs, training, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, specify, and commission small-scale equipment for CCL process development.
• Modify and integrate equipment, fixtures, and controls for new applications.
• Set up and manage the CCL process lab, including layout, utilities, SOPs, and training.
• Develop end-to-end CCL process from materials to finished samples with automation awareness.
• Design and execute DOE to study how settings affect defects, signal loss, and reliability.
• Own troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for process improvements.
