Job summary

Amazon Air is seeking a Process Engineer in Fort Worth, TX to drive process optimization in sort and ramp operations. You’ll develop labor standards, design operational models, and manage cross-functional projects from conception to completion.

You will analyze data, lead meetings with senior leaders, and implement improvements that balance cost, speed, and service while ensuring safety and compliance in a dynamic air logistics environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects.
• 4+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Experience and strong technical background in automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
• Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools.
• Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes.
• Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization.
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop labor standards through work measurement.
• Create operational models and planning to support both sort and ramp operations.
• Manage projects from conception to completion.
• Conduct and lead project meetings with Senior and Regional leaders.
• Assess and optimize the processes and equipment used in the facility.
• Plan and design systems that meet business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance.
• Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards.
