Senior Process Engineer to lead and support process optimization within a cement manufacturing environment. This position focuses on improving operational efficiency, guiding capital project development, and providing advanced technical expertise across milling, grinding, and pyroprocessing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with plant teams and technical staff to design and evaluate capital investment projects, including equipment layout, process alternatives, and cost assessments.
  • Provide hands-on and consultative support for improving the performance of grinding systems, pyroprocessing equipment, and material handling operations.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to create detailed heat and mass balances, using this information to develop actionable process improvements.
  • Identify inefficiencies and technical limitations in current systems and recommend modifications to enhance production output, energy efficiency, and reliability.
  • Prepare equipment specifications, review vendor proposals, and participate in equipment selection to ensure technical and environmental standards are met.
  • Lead commissioning and performance testing for newly installed or upgraded equipment, ensuring seamless integration and expected outcomes.
  • Contribute to environmental compliance efforts by developing process-based solutions aimed at reducing emissions and improving sustainability.
  • Support the development and delivery of technical training related to cement process design, system analysis, and engineering principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in cement manufacturing, process design, and systems optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of cement production processes, including kilns, mills, coolers, and associated equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards, material analysis, and calibration procedures relevant to cement operations.
  • Experience working with material flow, dosing systems, and alternative fuel strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead initiatives and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel for project execution and site support.
