We are currently seeking a skilled Process Engineer with a strong background in plastics manufacturing and injection molding. This role is responsible for identifying and executing process improvements that enhance productivity, reduce defects, and ensure consistent product quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead process optimization efforts focused on injection molding operations, ensuring consistent cycle times, optimal part quality, and reduced downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other quality management tools tailored to plastics production.
• Analyze production data and conduct root cause investigations to troubleshoot molding issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
• Develop and manage capital projects including the selection, installation, and validation of new injection molding machines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production teams to optimize mold performance, reduce scrap rates, and enhance machine uptime.
• Support the introduction of new molds, resins, or processes by developing robust processing windows and coordinating trials and validations.
• Conduct process capability studies and lead efforts to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Prepare and present technical documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and project reports.
• Participate in safety and quality audits, implementing improvement actions in compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on injection molding of thermoplastics.
• In-depth understanding of mold design, polymer behavior, machine parameters, and material drying requirements.
• Experience with RJG, Scientific Molding, or Decoupled Molding techniques is a strong plus.
• Skilled in using data analytics, SPC, and DOE methods to drive process improvements.
• Familiarity with capital project management, equipment commissioning, and production start-up support.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
