Job summary

Teamprovide seeks a result-driven leader to oversee maintenance, expansions and capital projects at a chemical plant in Texas. You will guide planning through completion, manage budgets and contractors, and mentor maintenance and EIT staff while driving automation initiatives.

The role emphasizes safety around reactive chemicals, hands-on technical direction, and the growth of a small team as the facility expands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or similar process industry.
• Proven track record leading expansion and upgrade projects with scope, budget and schedule.
• Experience with flow meters, batching, reactors or similar process systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Strong safety focus around reactive chemicals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead maintenance, expansion, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion

• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, contractors, and priorities

• Provide hands-on direction to maintenance, electrical, and EIT staff and outside contractors

• Lead production-line upgrades, warehouse build, future expansion, and automation initiatives

• Tear down, troubleshoot, and service equipment, including safely dismantling pneumatic pumps

• Uphold high safety standards and exercise sound judgment around reactive chemicals and complex processes

• Supervise two direct reports, with opportunity to grow the team as the business expands

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field

• Experience in chemical manufacturing, complex-ingredient processing, or a similar process industry

• Track record of leading expansion and upgrade projects, including scope, budget, schedule, and contractors

• Experience with flow meters, batching, reactors, or similar process systems; oil and gas backgrounds welcome

• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills

• Strong focus on safety, especially with reactive chemicals

• Experience helping a small facility grow, with strong organization and planning skills

Preferred Skills:

• Six Sigma certification
