Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Control Engineer to join our client’s automation team serving Paarl, Western Cape. You will design, implement, and optimize DCS/PLC control strategies to improve safety, quality, and efficiency across manufacturing facilities.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in process control, experience with DeltaV or Experion and Rockwell or Siemens, and a strong background in APC, instrumentation, and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering required.
• 6+ years of experience in process control engineering in chemical/process industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC platforms and APC techniques.
• Solid instrumentation, sensors, and control valve fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement DCS and PLC systems for new and existing processes.
• Develop and deploy advanced process control strategies to optimize plant performance.
• Troubleshoot control systems, instrumentation, and automation hardware/software.
