Job summary
Air Liquide Advanced Materials in Upper Mount Bethel, PA is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, and troubleshooting of automated industrial control systems in a chemical plant environment.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of PLC/DCS experience, expertise with Siemens PCS 7 and Rockwell AB, and strong knowledge of instrument engineering, electrical schematics, and industrial networks. This is a hybrid role with occasional travel.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including programming PLC/DCS for chemical plant design and operation
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- Knowledge of instrument engineering and applicable codes/standards
- Experience with Siemens PCS 7 DCS and Rockwell automation systems
- Willingness to travel <5% nationally and internationally
Responsibilities
- Design, program, install, start up and troubleshoot automated control systems
- Configure PLC, DCS and SCADA systems and implement changes safely
- Prepare design basis documents, PFDs, P&IDs and interlock matrices
- Support loop tests and ISO calibration/interlock checks
- Assist with plant startup and provide on-call support
