Job summary

ADM is seeking a Scientist III in Process Chemistry for its Decatur, IL site. Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemistry or MS with 5+ years experience or BS with 10+ years in organic/analytical chemistry
• Ability to design, set up, operate and maintain lab and pilot equipment
• Knowledge of wide range of analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, FT-IR, NMR, UV-Vis
• Strong safety and data integrity practices, able to work independently or in a team

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and document complex experimental plans
• Operate and maintain lab and pilot equipment
• Analyze data and report results with statistical methods
• Ensure compliance with ADM safety standards
• Scale up processes from lab to pilot
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and contractors
• Generate reports and present findings to management
• Maintain lab organization and safety
• Collaborate in diverse teams to transfer processes to scale-up
• Participate in safety reviews and training
