Job summary

Dow Seadrift Operations, Texas, seeks a Senior Process Automation Engineer to lead automation efforts for capital projects and plant support. You will coordinate Dow and contract resources, develop control strategies, and ensure safe, efficient plant operation.

Strong PLC/SCADA proficiency and collaboration with operations are required. The role emphasizes FAT, commissioning, and ongoing optimization, with focus on SIL/SIS and BPCS design, and integration with OT cybersecurity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of Honeywell TPS (HPM) and Honeywell Experion (C300) platform experience.
2+ years of Triconex 1131 or similar experience.
3+ years of plant process automation experience.
US work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Lead process automation activities during equipment changes, including SIL determination and SIS/BPCS design or modification.
Develop control strategies, control system designs, and implementation plans.
Define project scope, requirements, and operating needs with stakeholders.
Develop FRS and DRS, estimate costs and schedules, and manage baselines.
Provide FAT oversight, testing, commissioning support, and operations training.
Monitor and improve control loop performance; troubleshoot failures and plant interruptions.
Ensure documentation, standards, and lifecycle roadmaps are maintained.
