Job summary
Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks a Senior Process Automation Engineer to lead and optimize Process Automation across a complex site.
You will direct ICS hardware/software performance, promote safety and environmental programs, and guide technical direction for the Process Control Network. The role requires an engineering degree with 5+ years in Process Automation or related fields, including 3 years in regulatory and advanced control systems, and may involve on-site responsibilities at Morenci.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and five years of related experience in Process Automation or a related field, including three years with regulatory and advanced control systems.
- Master’s degree in Engineering and three years of related experience in Process Automation or a related field, including three years with regulatory and advanced control systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, management, direction, and advanced problem solving for Process Automation across site ICS.
- Review engineering proposals to ensure compliance with Process Automation standards and guide ICS hardware/software performance.
- Direct implementation and maintenance of the Process Control Network, plant performance, cybersecurity, and historian systems.
