Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in New Mexico is seeking a Process Automation Engineer I to troubleshoot ICSS hardware and software, collaborate on automation projects, and apply site Process Automation standards to enhance operator and operations efficiency.

You will support life-cycle planning, budget proposals, and cybersecurity for ICS/PCN networks while maintaining plant performance and historian systems in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Preferred qualifications include PLC, HMI, SCADA, or DCS training/certification.
• Experience with plant historians or similar data storage systems is favored.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot ICSS hardware and software to improve site performance.
• Collaborate on Process Automation projects and apply site standards.
• Support lifecycle planning, budgeting, and cybersecurity for ICS/PCN systems.
