Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is hiring for an Industrial Controls position at our Miami smelter/plant near Globe, AZ.

The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving site Industrial Control Systems while mentoring technicians and operators on Process Automation topics. You will implement ICSc hardware/software, support PCN cybersecurity, and participate in project lifecycle activities, including planning, budgeting, and documentation.

Qualifications

Completion of an approved electrical/instrumentation certification program and one (1) year of experience in process automation repair and maintenance in an industrial setting
Five (5) years of experience relevant to electrical, instrumentation, and/or Process Automation maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial setting, including one (1) year of Process Automation-specific maintenance and troubleshooting
Completion of required academic and practical competencies, including Line of Progression requirements where applicable
Demonstrated aptitude and ability to pass written assessments based on technical skills and safety

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, commission, and improve site Industrial Control Systems under minimum supervision
Mentor junior technicians, engineers, and operators on Process Automation topics and safety practices
Implement ICSc hardware and software installations and enhance control network performance and cybersecurity
Direct projects, prepare budgets, and review engineering documentation
Respond promptly to plant issues and organize troubleshooting efforts
