Job summary

GBA is seeking a Senior Process Architect to design process-intensive life science facilities, translating client needs into effective programming and space planning while coordinating with engineering, construction, and regulatory teams.

You will contribute to design reports, client presentations, and project documentation, guiding junior staff and ensuring compliant, high-quality outcomes across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program or related field plus 6+ years of experience.
• Licensed Architect certification or PE licensure is preferred.
• Experience with GMP-cleanroom design and biosafety levels is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Translate client operational needs into facility programming and space-planning solutions.
• Lead coordination across engineering, construction, and regulatory disciplines to resolve design conflicts and ensure compliance.
• Prepare design reports, narratives, and client presentations communicating design rationale and project impact.
• Manage project administration: schedule coordination, scope tracking, deliverable reviews, and documentation oversight.
• Review work from junior staff and provide technical feedback for accuracy and quality.
• Develop facility programming recommendations and space-planning solutions based on operations and regulatory requirements.
