Job summary

GBA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utilities for complex biopharmaceutical facilities. You will lead design concepts aligned with client requirements and budgets, perform calculations, and review team work.

You will collaborate with architecture, electrical, process engineering, and other disciplines, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring regulatory compliance and project quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• PE license as a Mechanical Engineer.
• 7+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience designing complex building systems in life sciences facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems for complex biopharmaceutical facilities.
• Develop mechanical design concepts that respond to client requirements, goals, and budget.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment selections, and review team work.
• Evaluate existing systems and develop retrofit, replacement, and upgrade strategies.
• Work directly with clients to establish design criteria and communicate recommendations.
• Prepare technical specifications and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with architecture, electrical, process engineering, fire protection, and other disciplines.
• Maintain project quality through technical reviews and QA/QC.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the Life Sciences team's growth.
