Job summary

Gain is expanding its Intelligence Origination team into Credit, focusing on sourcing proprietary, transaction-level credit intelligence across live and announced private equity-related deals. The role centers on building a trusted network of lenders, bankers, sponsors, and lawyers to uncover non-public market insights, then turning them into clean, machine-readable data.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or related field.
• Experience sourcing market intelligence, journalism, research, origination, or investor relations.
• Experience with deals in private credit, distressed debt/restructuring, or leveraged loans preferred but not essential.
• Skilled at cultivating senior-level sources and handling off-record conversations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a network of sources including lenders, investment bankers, sponsors, advisors and lawyers.
• Conduct daily off-record, high-trust conversations to surface non-public credit intelligence.
• Ensure high-quality sourcing of proprietary datapoints feeding the Gain platform.
• Collaborate with in-house analysts to ensure data completeness and structured format.
• Support expansion of real-time transaction tracker and share market intelligence internally.
