Job summary

Gain is seeking a Senior Intelligence Originator to join their expanding Intelligence Origination team in New York. In this role, you'll focus on sourcing proprietary insights on private equity transactions, building a network of off-record sources including bankers and consultants. Your efforts will contribute to creating structured data that supports client analysis and better deal-making. Qualifications

• Experience in journalism, research, origination, investor relations or a related field.
• Skilled at cultivating senior-level sources and handling off-record conversations.
• Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a network of sources across finance.
• Conduct daily off-record conversations to surface non-public insights.
• Identify and monitor live and upcoming M&A transactions.
• Ensure high-quality sourcing of proprietary datapoints for the Gain platform.
• Manage and mentor a team of junior reporters.
• Collaborate closely with analysts to ensure data completeness.
• Support real-time transaction pipeline expansion.

Skills
