Job summary

Gain is expanding its Intelligence Origination team into Credit to source proprietary, transaction-level credit intelligence across live and announced private equity-related transactions. The role focuses on completeness, accuracy, and speed of data capture, cultivating a trusted network of lenders, bankers, and lawyers to uncover proprietary market intelligence.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in private credit, M&A, PE or related field.
• Experience sourcing market intelligence in journalism, research or origination is desirable.
• Background in private credit, distressed debt/restructuring or leveraged loans is a plus.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both in person and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a network of sources including lenders, investment bankers, sponsors, advisors and lawyers.
• Conduct daily off-record conversations to surface non-public credit intelligence.
• Ensure high-quality sourcing of proprietary datapoints for the Gain platform.
• Collaborate with in-house analysts to ensure data completeness and structured format.
• Support expansion of the real-time transaction tracker and internal market intelligence sharing.
