Baltusrol Golf Club is seeking an energetic hospitality professional to join us as Event Operations Manager. This role leads the operational execution of Club and private events, ensuring seamless, memorable experiences for members and guests.

Reporting to the Clubhouse Manager with a dotted-line to the Director of Events, you will personally lead most events, coach staff, and collaborate with Events and Culinary to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field; progressive hospitality experience considered.
• Minimum three years in private club, luxury hotel/resort, or high-end catering event operations.
• Demonstrated banquet or event operations experience including staffing and timing.
• Experience training and coaching service employees in a luxury environment.
• Strong understanding of luxury event service with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Own the operational execution and overall success of Club and private events, regardless of the F&B leader assigned to a function.
• Personally lead most events, with responsibility for setup, readiness, service execution, timing, presentation, member and guest experience, and breakdown.
• Lead major Club events, weddings and significant functions while delegating responsibilities to F&B managers and other leaders.
• Partner with the Clubhouse Manager to anticipate event leadership and coverage needs during concurrent events.
• Prepare and hold Managers, Captains and supervisors accountable to event execution standards when leading functions.
• Maintain a highly visible presence during events, monitoring service, presentation, timing and flow.
• Collaborate with Events and Culinary to ensure plans and displays come together in the member/guest experience.
• Lead, coach and develop banquet service employees through training and feedback.
• Evaluate and strengthen banquet service standards and practices in partnership with the Clubhouse Manager.
• Anticipate and resolve operational challenges calmly and discreetly.
• Conduct post-event follow-up and identify opportunities to improve future events.
• During low activity periods, focus on training and preparation for the upcoming season.
