Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a Senior Account Manager for Private Client Services in the Portland, ME area. You will serve as a trusted advisor, manage a growing book of personal lines business, and work closely with carrier underwriters to tailor solutions for clients.

The role requires 5+ years in insurance with 3+ years in Personal Lines, a valid P&C license, and strong communication and relationship-building skills. Hybrid work & comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of insurance industry experience with at least 3+ years in Personal Lines
• Strong working knowledge of personal insurance coverages
• Active Property and Casualty license
• Effective oral and written communication and relationship building skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Exceptional time management and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Manage, retain, and grow assigned book of accounts with minimal direction
• Advise customers on insurance policies/products/services
• Front-end underwriting to align proper carrier and best solutions
• Provide quotations, coverage summaries, and proposals
• Document all customer communications in the agency system
• Provide periodic coverage reviews and cross-sell opportunities
• Oversee mail, renewals, new business, billing, cancellations, and other admin tasks
