Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise data protection and privacy capabilities across structured and unstructured data. You’ll design scalable privacy solutions and partner across cybersecurity, engineering, legal, and compliance to embed privacy-by-design.

The role offers exposure to modern PETs, regulatory compliance, and a chance to influence privacy engineering at scale while safeguarding consumer data.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in privacy, security, or data protection with regulatory experience (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA).
• 5+ years building enterprise data protection capabilities including encryption, tokenization, DLP, and data classification.
• 5+ years hands-on coding in Python, Java, Go, or similar.
• 5+ years in cloud/DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, privacy threat modeling, and security automation.
• 3+ years leading cross‑functional privacy, data protection, or compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and delivery of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering capabilities.
• Design and deploy PETs (encryption, tokenization, anonymization, DLP) for protected data.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, and security teams to embed privacy-by-design.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, PIAs, threat modeling, and control evaluations.
• Drive governance, metrics, automation, and adoption of new privacy technologies.
