Job summary

Mastercard seeks an experienced privacy attorney to support its blockchain and digital assets initiatives from a privacy and data protection perspective. The role partners with Product, Compliance, Regulatory, Security, and Legal teams to enable compliant product development and ongoing business support.

The ideal candidate has a law degree, bar admission, and extensive privacy law experience in financial services or fintech, with strong drafting, analysis, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in privacy law and data protection.
• Experience advising on privacy in financial services or fintech.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to partner with product, compliance, and legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze privacy and data protection for digital assets, blockchain, and payments with global compliance in mind.
• Provide privacy assessments and advise on DPAs, data transfers, and governance.
• Support GDPR/UK GDPR compliance measures and privacy by design.
• Draft and negotiate privacy terms in vendor, partner, and customer agreements.
• Educate business teams on privacy and cyber security developments.
