Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Senior Counsel/Director to lead legal support for stablecoin enablement within Transfer Solutions. You will provide proactive, globally coordinated guidance to support product development, manage regulatory risk, and deliver practical solutions for the business.

Reporting to the Senior Managing Counsel/VP, you will collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Treasury, Compliance and others, structuring and negotiating agreements with banks, fintechs, and service

Qualifications

• Significant legal experience advising on payments, money movement and fintech product development.
• Experience with digital assets, blockchain infrastructure, or money transmission preferred.
• Ability to advise on multi-jurisdiction launches and manage partner risk.
• Strong negotiation, drafting and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted legal advisor for stablecoin enablement across borders.
• Partner with product, technology, operations, treasury and others to design and launch stablecoin solutions.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with financial institutions, fintechs and service providers.
• Monitor global regulatory developments and shape internal policy positions.
• Collaborate with Regulatory, Compliance and Competition to address risks.
• Develop legal playbooks, templates and approval processes for scalable execution.
• Engage external counsel as needed for jurisdiction-specific advice.
