NC Department of Adult Correction seeks an experienced CAP HVAC Supervisor to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. The role requires journeyman-level skills, blueprint literacy, and strong collaboration abilities to guide offender labor and ensure safety.

The position is based at the candidate's NC home with a state vehicle and a 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Thursday, with potential Friday or weekend work and overnight travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level experience in installation, maintenance or repair of HVAC equipment and systems.
• Strong reading of blueprints and understanding of construction trades in institutional settings.
• Experience with pneumatic building automation and control systems.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment to project specifications.
• Read and interpret project drawings, schedules, and specs to ensure work scope compliance.
• Supervise offender labor and train staff in mechanical trades and safety standards.
• Ensure work adheres to NC Building Codes and CAP CAP standards and budgets.
