The Adult Correction Department is seeking an HVAC Mechanic I to provide journey-level work in Heating/Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and related fields.

This full-time position involves performing repairs, maintenance, and supervising offender helpers at the Brown Creek Correctional Institution in Polkton, NC. Applicants must have a high school diploma and a minimum of three years’ experience in HVAC or related fields.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to work independently on repair procedures.
• Preferred working knowledge of industrial air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform special repairs and assignments received by work orders.
• Identify problem causes and carry out repair procedures.
