Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Technical Leader for Turbine module design and sustainment in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. You will lead complex mechanical engineering challenges, guide outsourcing activities, and ensure robust system-level solutions while collaborating with CTS, MRO-E, and field teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive continuous improvement, and support manufacturing and quality in resolving production issues, with travel up to 10% and English communication required for customer

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
Advanced degree with 5+ years of engineering experience is preferred.
Experience with hardware, blueprints, dimensions & tolerances, and manufacturing methods including GD&T is needed.

Responsibilities

Serve as Principal Technical leader in Turbine module design, analysis, and sustainment with minimal oversight.
Provide engineering direction for Turbine hardware outsourcing, governance, and integration of supplier work.
Deliver data-driven engineering solutions and ensure performance, life, and reliability of Turbine hardware.
Collaborate with CTS, MRO‑E, and field service teams to interpret data and lead root cause investigations.
Support Operations by coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to address production issues and ensure timely delivery of hardware.
