Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr Engineer - Mechanical Design with turbine experience to join the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) organization in a hybrid role in Aguadilla. You will lead turbine module design work, interact with IPTs, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring high-quality, safe solutions for turbine hardware.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, 5+ years’ experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree), GD&T know-how, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5 years engineering experience or an Advanced Degree with 3 years engineering experience.
• 3 years of experience with hardware, blueprints, dimensions & tolerances, and/or manufacturing methods including experience with GD&T.
• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens can access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical leader in Turbine module design, analysis, and sustainment.
• Provide technical direction for turbine hardware outsourcing with supplier reviews and governance.
• Build credibility with customers by delivering data-driven engineering solutions for turbine hardware.
• Collaborate with CTS, MRO‑E, and field service to interpret customer data and lead root cause investigations.
• Support Operations by addressing production issues and ensuring timely delivery of turbine components.
• Represent Turbines in cross-functional reviews and design boards, providing engineering rationale.
