Job summary

At Atlassian, a Senior Principal Technical Program Manager (P70) will lead the strategy and execution for our Conversational AI & Agent Platforms. You will shape foundational interfaces, memory architectures, tool orchestration, and policy-driven routing across enterprise-scale systems.

You will drive platform product thinking, mentor TPMs, and partner with senior engineers to deliver multi-quarter roadmaps with measurable impact on adoption and platform health.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Platform Product Management, or Distributed Systems Engineering.
• 4+ years focused on AI/ML platforms or high-scale developer platforms.
• Deep Generative AI & Agentic Fluency: LLM architectures, agent execution loops, context-window management.
• Platform mindset: APIs, developer tools, shared runtimes as products.
• Executive leadership: turning undefined problems into clear roadmaps and RFCs.

Responsibilities

• Drive Platform-as-a-Product Strategy: lead platform evolution, developer experience, API standards, SDKs, and adoption pathways.
• Orchestrate Agent & AI Architecture: roadmap for agent execution loops, memory, tool/skill orchestration, and model routing.
• Lead Large-Scale Platform Evolutions: manage multi-team migrations with zero end-user disruption.
• Champion Operational Excellence & SLOs: ensure availability, latency budgets, observability across AI serving infra.
• Govern AI Economics: influence unit economics, caching, and capacity planning without sacrificing quality.
• Ensure Enterprise Trust & Compliance: data residency, privacy controls, and AI safety guardrails.
• Influence Across Leadership: align teams with structured rhythms and clear decision frameworks.
• Elevate TPM Craft: mentor TPMs and set benchmarks for platform thinking.
